Quality Assurance Manager

Our client is a leading European producer of sustainable, waste-based biofuels. They transform waste oils and residual materials into valuable, low-carbon products, contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and a more sustainable future. Operating in a highly regulated industrial environment, the organisation is committed to sustainability, operational excellence, quality management and continuous improvement. For their Amsterdam site, we are searching for a QA/QC Manager.

As QA/QC Manager, you will take the lead in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with a particular focus on Animal By-Products (ABP), waste management and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's ABP and waste governance framework, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements. Acting as the main point of contact for external authorities, including the NVWA and ODNZKG, you will build strong working relationships and ensure that quality standards are consistently upheld across the organisation. You report to the QHSE Manager.

What will you do:

• Quality Policy & Governance: Develop, maintain, and ensure full implementation and compliance of policies surrounding ABP and waste topics.
• Quality Management Systems: Manage quality manuals alongside the QAQC Specialist, ensuring the continuous completion of the PDCA cycle.
• Internal Stakeholder Support: Provide specialized support to internal stakeholders (R&D, Supply Chain, Trade, Truckport) on complex ABP and waste dossiers.
• Audits & Continuous Improvement: Share key learnings from internal/external audits and reviews across the organization, initiating mitigating actions when required.
• Legislation & Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of changing legislation, assessing impact, and driving the implementation of required operational changes.
• Regulatory Authority Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory authorities, ensuring strong and collaborative relationships.

• HBO / Bachelor degree in business sustainability, environmental sciences or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA- QC function
• Demonstrable experience with ISO22000, HACCP, or comparable quality assurance systems, experience with ABP is a plus
• Deep understanding of Dutch waste legislation and EVOA regulations
• Ability to maintain a macro-level overview of quality processes while proactively charting the path forward to ensure long-term compliance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an analytical and solution- driven mindset:
• Strategic vision and oversight with Strong social skills and a collaborative ethic to build trust and maintain excellent relationships
• Fluent in Dutch and professional proficiency in English

• A salary between € 60.000 and € 90.000 gross per year, depending on knowledge and experience.
